People over 70 or 75 are more at risk with the virus and require special attention. As we celebrated yesterday the 75th anniversary of V-Day in Europe and are celebrating today the 70th birthday of the Schuman declaration - the true kickstart of the European construction - it is time to measure what it meant to come out of a devastating war and within 5 years launch a miraculous process! It is time to not let the virus make two more victims.

Our civilization is largely the legacy of these two events and the way they were prepared. With vision and leadership.
Let’s not fool ourselves: this precious legacy is at risk. “World peace cannot be safeguarded without the making of creative efforts proportionate to the dangers which threaten it.” Here we are again. We have to be up to our grand-parents. The scale of our challenge today makes it both obvious and difficult. Europe is not the problem. It is part of the solution. It can contribute to the building of the sustainable fair and free model required for a peaceful century. Europe is 70 and can’t afford the ICU. #europe #vday
